Training for disabled persons

Target: Beneficiaries are more than 170 physically disabled adults (males and females).

Description: The aim of the project consists in rehabilitation, giving professional skills employable in the job market and social reintegration. The most significant activities are: professional courses in carpentry, sewing, computer science, production and repair of orthopedic devices, handicrafts; physical rehabilitation and social reintegration of adults with disability. To give them, through specific training, professional skills employable in the job market and opportunities for sources of income; to contribute to their reintegration in society and the world of work; to sensitize the authorities in charge to give attention to the social and legal problems. We began manufacturing tricycles from our own designs with the local material available; refurbishing old tricycles and wheelchairs for disabled use. In the near future we hope to make even the wheelchairs.

The objectives of this workshop are:
Providing disabled persons with the means of locomotion or/and for moving at affordable prices.
To train young people with disabilities in the manufacture and maintenance of wheelchairs and tricycles.
Create permanent jobs for disabled young people.
