GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION...

June 22, 2011: Global Day of Action for  tax on financial transactions. Shares of mobilization to be organized tomorrow in 40 countries around the world.

The event is scheduled in Italy for 9.30 am in Largo di Torre Argentina, Rome: activists will stage a new stunt to describe the purposes and effects of the tax.

The crisis has emerged strongly in Europe. There are another 100 billion euros needed to save Greece from the final financial default which according to data from the ECB directly involves economic arrangements in Belgium and Italy
.

On the World Day of Mobilization on financial transactions tax (FTT), the Campaign ZeroZeroCinque presents the first Italian wiki-law by launching a public consultation on its website (www.zerozerocinque.it) for the legal definition of FTT. A participatory writing to support the approval of a fee which would not damage the health of the financial markets, but would have the ability to contain the speculative excesses and finding resources to finance social, environmental and development cooperation. A very important tool when the government, without increasing the fiscal pressure on workers and enterprises, must pass a new maneuver set by the European Government to settle the public accounts.
